Collars, Harnesses & Leads
Our collars, harnesses and leads are made from neoprene, which is a specialised fabric popularly used for water sporting equipment. This ensures that our products are not only gorgeous, they are perfect for withstanding those wet and muddy walks in winter.
Whilst our neoprene products are durable, it’s important to care for your item properly to maintain its condition. It’s ideal to wash your neoprene items on a regular basis to keep it in prime condition for a long time to come. Our neoprene products are hand wash only and below are instructions on how best to clean them.
Step 1 - Rinsing
To to rinse using clean, fresh water applied in a directed spray (a shower head is great!). Continue to rinse for a minute or two, or until the water appears clean and clear when draining from the neoprene item.
Step 2 - Cleaning
A mild soap or mild shampoo, like baby shampoo, will often work just fine on neoprene fabric. You’ll only need a very small amount, no more than half a teaspoon. Do not pour the soap directly onto the item, ensure it is mixed with water before submerging your item to soak.
The item must be hand washed, just as you would delicate clothing. Wash gently, squeeze out the dirty water, and allow it to soak a little while longer. If the item is especially dirty or grimy, you may want to soak it overnight. Then rinse repeatedly until no more bubbles or suds from your soap appear.
Step 3 - Drying
Leave your item to air dry on a flat surface, away from direct sunlight.
